As someone with an engineering background who aspired to a career in both healthcare and business, the City of Hope Management Fellowship provided me with the opportunity to learn about all areas of healthcare strategy and kick-start my personal career goals. Today, I am in a full-time role as a Product Manager where I work to design, build, and test new products to help support users and ensure alignment with City of Hope's strategy and goals. Above all else, the Fellowship provides a lifelong network and community to continue to grow both personally and professionally.

Casey Hart - Class of 2016
Product Manager, Salesforce

Coming out of college, I wasn’t sure what it was like, let alone if I wanted, to work in healthcare. However, City of Hope's Management Fellowship offered me a unique opportunity to develop breadth in healthcare knowledge across multiple functions while also affording me the chance to become an expert in certain areas. The Fellowship accelerated my personal development beyond what I thought was possible. I’ve led domestic and international strategy and now lead all of our international market development, marketing and relationship efforts as the Manager of Market Expansion and International Market Development. The Management Fellowship provides an environment for its Fellows to grow, develop and create new lasting relationships as you develop your careers with others in your class.

I feel extremely fortunate that I found City of Hope's Management Fellowship as a job-seeking senior, despite not being interested in health care at the time. The program’s flexibility enabled me to apply the skills and passions I had as an undergrad but also exposed me to exciting career opportunities I didn’t know existed through hands-on project experience with City of Hope's top executives. That deep experience in many different parts of the organization was invaluable and dramatically accelerated my career trajectory post-fellowship.

Chase Hall - Class of 2013
Director of Strategy, Corporate City of Hope

The Management Fellowship was one of the most enriching, influential experiences I ever went through in my professional career. The exposure I gained in understanding the inter-workings of a hospital system and the health care industry, not only helped me learn but also strategically think alongside seasoned executive leaders that are fully committed to your development. The mentorship, leadership and relationships you build over the course of the two years with those that lead you, you work with, and you lead are invaluable and stay with you indefinitely.

Arezoo Nazari - Class of 2013
Chief of Staff / Manager CEO Logistics & Coordination, SERMC
